Weekly brekdown

Week 1

Astrophysics of Star Formation and Stellar Evolution, HR diagram, Types of stars, etc.

Week 2

Hydrostatic Equilibrium and Properties of Star. Pressure, Mass and Temperature Profile. Luminosity of stars.

Week 3

Stellar magnitude, Distance measurements:
Parallax and Distance modulus methods.

Week 4

Observational Techniques: Spectroscopy and Photometry.

Week 5 - Complementary Courses: LaTeX and Python

Week 6

Learn how to model a system mathematically using the examples of compartment model and population model.

Week 7

Literature Survey and review of the papers about modeling star formation.

Week 8

Replicate the results of the models in the paper.

Week 9

Review and figure out the problem with the existing model and Build your own suitable model.

Week 10 - Conclusion: Final Presentations by project students and submission of reports.
